1) Book your packages and exchange currency s before June 30th! Starting July 1st, there will be a 20% extra tax (TCS) on bookings made after this date. Though this TCS can be recovered or adjusted for tax on filing your ITR for next year. This will block your amount for a year.
If you make international flight and hotel bookings yourself, then TCS won’t apply until you cross the Rs 7 lakh threshold set for debit and credit cards. This is for bookings made in foreign currency, not in INR. In the latter case, no TCS applies.
2) Link your Aadhaar card and PAN card Failure to do so will render your PAN card inoperative affecting your ability to file ITR (deadline: July 31 st), open new accounts, and obtain debit/credit cards.
3) For Locker Holders in Bank, RBI has noticed that banks haven't included compensation policies or liability details in case of fire or robbery. Consider signing a new bank locker agreement to ensure your safety and protection.
