Boros Thor Burn melts Decks! | MTG Arena Standard Best of One
Can Thor, God of Thunder become the ultimate finisher in Standard? In today's MTG Arena Standard Best of One gameplay, I'm piloting a classic Boros Burn deck with a powerful twist.
The game plan is simple: cast a constant stream of noncreature spells to trigger Thor's ability, dealing direct damage over and over until your opponent can't keep up. Every spell becomes another Lightning Bolt to the face, allowing the deck to close games incredibly quickly.
The engine that keeps everything running is Improvisation Capstone, which gives me free spells at the beginning of every turn. Those free casts mean more Thor triggers, more damage, and an endless stream of pressure that forces opponents onto the defensive.
This deck combines the speed of traditional Boros Burn with a value engine that keeps the damage flowing long after most burn decks have run out of cards.
