In this video, you will learn the date function in excel along with days of the week, months name, and year in excel.
Date formula in excel is used to write dates in Excel. The formula used for the date function in excel is =today() for today date formula, you can also press CTRL +; to get the same result. To add the tomorrow date function in excel, just add the +1 to the previous date. This is a very easy function and used in everyday office work.
Days of week Function in excel is used to find out the day from the date. The days of the week formula is =text(range’’dddd’’) . Here dddd used for a full name like Monday, Tuesday but if you used ddd in the formula it will give you the name in 3 digit format like mon tue, etc.
The month of the year Function in excel is used to write the months in the excel. The month of the year Formula is =text(range,"mmmm’’) where mmmm is used to get the entire month name like January, to shorten the same you must use mmm the 4 digit format.
Year in excel is used to find the year on the given dates. The year in excel formula is =year(range) to the numerical year number.
