Looking at Mercury Dimes for Two Major Varieties
This week, our local coin shop had two accumulated rolls of Mercury silver dimes dated 1941 and 1942. Knowing that there are two major varieties from these dates, we decided to take a flyer on the rolls.... and while we may have struck out this time, we give you the diagnostics you need to find the 1941 DDO and 1942/1 DDO for yourself.
These silver dime varieties are worth a lot of money and are easy to spot... if you know what to look for.
