Hey! Work with us to get ready for Black Friday! • Work With Us Black Friday - Utah SEO Ninja
Okey dokey - here's the boring part of our Weebly Tutorial (for Weebly 4 and 2017). In this first video, we do the dull part of setting up our domain, our hosting, nameservers, and our Weebly package. I know, riveting stuff, but it's important if we want to actually make any progress and money with our website. Allow me to quickly explain why we've done what we did...
Expired Domain (http://bit.ly/2cQXW8Z): These allow us to get a jump start on the competition. An expired domain is what happens when someone doesn't renew their domain each year. These domains usually have more authority in Google and are able to rank higher immediately. You can still purchase your own domain if you already have something in mind, but this is a quick way to grow more quickly.
Hosting (http://bit.ly/2dxK5Z6): Even though you can host your Weebly site with Weebly, choosing to host your site elsewhere provides several extra benefits - like free email, access to Attracta, the ability to change your website builder at any time, and you can even transfer (re: sell) your domain much more easily if it's hosted outside of Weebly. I personally like Hostgator, though there are several options available. I only suggest that you avoid GoDaddy (they'll nickel and dime you and their customer service is awful).
Hostgator Coupon: UTSEO1 - first month for $0.01!
Weebly (http://bit.ly/2dHkNaT): In order to access all the coolest new features, we have to have a paid account. I decided to go with a business plan here because I am only building this site as an example and this option allows me to pay monthly instead of in 6-month installments. If you don't need all the fancy stuff, you can go with whatever plan you like. I suggest that you get at least the starter plan, though.
As far as looking at this as a Weebly review, I think that it does have some merit in the world of website builders. It has gotten more expensive over the years, but it has also added a lot of new and more advanced features to make up for it. Weebly continues to be my personal favorite website builder, even compared to things like WordPress. I believe that each has a role to play, and Weebly's role is that of an easy website builder that anyone can pick up. Weebly SEO isn't as strong as WordPress SEO, but it'll work for lower-end competitive keywords.
