On 8th September 1926 the newly founded flying company Lufthansa organized a flying day on
the Berlin airport Tempelhoferfeld that attracted over 200.000 people.At the opening ceremony 3.500 pigeons had been released. One of the main events was the performance of Ernst Udet (see my previous post).
