LLD - Channel Update and Discord Server

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a quick update on the channel. I've been doing this channel for about 9 months now
and it's been really fun so far. I enjoy sharing my experiences with doing low level software development. My day job is
doing enterprise software development primarily in Java and .NET, I haven't been using C or C++ in a work environment
for many years now so I only get to do these sort of things in my spare time.
The channel is primarily an outlet for those deeper technical things that I like to be involved in but don't get to do at
work anymore. So mostly the focus will be on embedded devices, OS level development and linux development. Most of the code
will be in C mainly because I know it well and have worked with it for over 25 years, but also because I feel like it's the most
accessible language, someone who programs in Rust or C++ would be able to understand C code very easily, but the reverse isn't
necessarily true.
The primary focus of these videos will be to teach how to do something or how to figure out how to do something, not how to code
in a particular language the best.
I have several different ideas that I'm floating around with. I will continue on each of the series as I get some inspiration on
certain things to work on in each of the series. For instance on the Raspberry PI Bare metal series I recently did a video on
using the VideoCore mailbox API, which opens up the ability to do a video on the FrameBuffer to do some HDMI output. Then from there
you'll see how slow it is to use the CPU to draw pixels on the screen, which will open up the ability to show how you can use DMA to
write to the screen faster in another video.
I also have some ideas on doing a video series on gameboy emulation, I've created a project that does this and had a lot of fun doing it
so I'm interested in your opinions on whether you would be interested in this sort of project as well.
Leaving comments in videos on what you like and would like to see is a good way to show your support and set the direction of the
channel as I don't really want to spend time creating videos that only I am interested in.
Another good way to support the channel and drive the direction of it is to join the discord server which I just created. Right now
there's hardly anyone on it but it should grow over time and I put an ideas-and-feedback channel where you can post topics you'd like to see.
Also on the channel's community section here, you will see some polls that I post to help me get a better idea of what to focus
my time on, would love to hear more input from you all.
