Why biophilic design matters!
This video is all about something which has become a bit of a Buzzword over the last few months ‘Biophilic Design’, Biophilic design refers to design solutions for buildings that increase our connection with the natural environment. This can include using natural materials, incorporating natural light and plants as part of the design of buildings to create spaces that function better, make us feel better and that is better for the environment too.
Although its name was coined in recent history, indicators of biophilic design have been seen in architecture from as far back as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
