$10 000 Chicken Pen - The Ultimate Chook Coop!
What does a $10 000 chicken pen look like? Is it possible? I built it up over a couple years, starting with the Chicken Palace from Royal Rooster in South Australia, then bolting it into a 100mm concrete slab. After adding a 30m2 chicken run, snake proof mesh, 3000 litre water tank, pump, food and water dispensers, it was complete.
There are many great chicken breeds like Leghorn, Rhode Island Red, Silkie, Plymouth Rock, Australorp, Orpington, Wyandotte, Sussex, Cochin and Brahma but I have Isa Brown chickens which lay daily and make great kid friendly pets that love free ranging too.
