How to overmold magnetic connector with pogo pins
Overmolding is a specific injection molding process where we inject molted plastic around a component. Therefore, we place the component to be overmolded in an injection mold. The molten plastic, usually has a lower melting temperature than commonly used plastic raw materials.
In this video we show how to overmold a magnetic connector with pogo pins. The overmolding happens in 2 steps. Each molding cycle finishes the 2 steps at once. As you can see, it is a repetitive process.
