DEAR IMPERFECT FRIEND // VLOG15
A couple of months ago, I was approached by an organization that helps girls feel confident in their own skin, called ChooseREAL. I felt so inspired by their mission that I decided to create a video to help empower all of those who feel different and are not feeling confident about it. Being different is considered an asset, not a limitation in today's age. We should learn to embrace our imperfections and even highlight them, that is what makes us stand out, nothing else.
Let's be proud and encourage others to feel the same way.
While we were in Tel Aviv last week, I was shocked by the diversity in the streets. We came to the conclusion that Israel had so much "raw" beauty that it could be easy to miss. We felt lucky we didn't. I got inspired to create this video and capture as many faces as I could, which is a fear of mine (to randomly stop strangers and ask if I could capture their face). The surprising thing was that absolutely everybody said YES. Not even one person said no. Last time I tried doing that in NY I got so many "no's" that I got discourage to keep doing it, but not there, not in Israel. I realize, once again, how surprising can be facing our fears. Thank you all for participating in this video: the ones who had no idea who I was and the ones that know me very well, thank you all :)
