"Mambo Johnny" Treanor in 1977
John "Mambo" Treanor in 1977 at 1406 W. 6th in Austin, Tx (aka "Goonland") and on the Pedernales River, Travis County. John was a drummer and sailor extraordinaire, and this all-too-short silent film clip manages to capture something of his essence, and is a treasure to have. He is carrying a pair of swim fins from what would be his Jeep Cherokee in preparation for a sailing jaunt on the river near Paleface Park. Next is on the boat, with "Captain John" in full command, in his element. Mambo passed away in 2001.
