The starting point for Geobrugg solutions is high-tensile steel wire. It is characterized by high cutting resistance, high energy absorption capability and long life with low maintenance. This makes world records possible; for instance, the certification test in which a Geobrugg ring net stopped a 25-tonne concrete cube with an impact velocity of more than 103 km/h (in 2017).
