Inspired by Second Life, ‘the largest ever 3D virtual world created entirely by its users’, the artists Peter Humphrey and Eliot Jones have taken the in-game phenomena of the ‘alt orgy’ as a metaphor and a model for distilling everyday media images into their most condensed form. A combination of sound, video art and ‘product placement’ sculpture, You Blew It Up! invites you to join them as a voyeur as they magnify and amplify pop culture values.
