How To Retrieve Google Backup Photos And Delete Duplicates
Retrieving Google Backup Photos is quite easy.
First, open the Google Photos app.
Tap the Library icon followed by Trash.
Tap on Restore
Now, select the photos you want to restore, and then tap Restore again.
However, there’s one problem that often arises here. Yes, duplicate photos!
After retrieving, you should always use Clone Files Checker to ensure that there are no duplicate files.
First, connect your smartphone to your PC using a USB cable.
Open your phone’s folder on your computer.
Move the relevant files to a separate folder “My Files” on your computer’s Desktop.
Now, right-click on this folder and select “Scan with CloneFilesChecker”.
Next, in CFC, select the Custom option, followed by Videos and Images.
Begin the search.
Once it’s completed, the results will be displayed on your screen.
Use the Select Duplicates button to auto-select duplicates based on a criteria of your choice. For example: newest/oldest, least modified/most modified, etc.
Then, click on Select Action and choose whether you want to delete the duplicates or relocate them.
Once you’re done, you can move back the files to their original locations in your phone and you’ll be good to go!
