I'm absolutely thrilled to have stumbled upon this bug! It feels like finding a needle in a haystack, a truly rare occurrence. :)

I have the utmost respect for Stephen Toub. He's a brilliant mind in computer science, a true inspiration, and someone I deeply admire. His contributions to the field are immense. Of course, even the most talented individuals can occasionally make a slip-up, and that's perfectly understandable. In one of his Deep .NET videos with Scott Hanselman on YouTube, Stephen was explaining the intricacies of C#'s Task object, a notoriously complex topic. Perhaps due to time constraints, or maybe just to present a simplified example, he inadvertently introduced a bug into the code. It's easy to miss these things, especially during live coding.

In this video, I highlight the bug, explain its cause, and demonstrate the circumstances under which it occurs. I also share the correct, original implementation. I hope this is helpful!
