Janis Putelis heads back to his family’s Wisconsin farm for the whitetail rut. He’s seen some tough hunting in past years, but this season, a cold front’s pushing through the Upper Midwest, and the bucks are on the move, rutting hard. Janis sticks it out in his saddle all week long, braving the cold. After a long stretch of action-packed days, he finally gets his shot at a solid buck.
