I need to rant for a second about using Requiem Dies Irae. Why the hell should an arrangement of a song that's IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN be entitled to copyright?
I uploaded this video thinking I was fine because Mozart's been dead for centuries, but nope, some talented losers decided, "No, me want to take Mozart's song and make it my own. Nobody can use MY version of someone else's music!"
How about I play Requiem Dies Irae with tin cans and armpit farts? That should be entitled to copyright, right? People aren't watching the video because of the damn song and I'm not acting like it's my own work, so the copyright claim isn't justified.
Edit: Yikes, they put ads on the video. I didn't even want to monetize this. It's not that good a video to deserve monetization. Guess the music company really wants the $1.26 this video's going to make, huh?
