Hassaku-sai Festival is an annual Shinto ritual praying for a good harvest and prosperous business. It is held in September every year at Matsuo Taisha Shrine.

Babies enter a sumo ring for receiving blessings. However, most babies are crying. That's why this ritual is also called 'Naki-sumo(crying sumo)'
