The Chicago Spire Hole Is Finally Being Filled
For over 15 years, the foundation hole from the abandoned Chicago Spire skyscraper sat empty downtown. Now in 2024, construction is finally underway again, but this time for the skyscrapers replacing it - 400 Lake Shore. Let's briefly examine the story of these two buildings and the infamous history of the Chicago Spire hole.
