In this video, I examine the long-term relationship between Ethereum and Bitcoin through their price ratio. The ETH/BTC chart reveals a fascinating cyclical pattern dating back to 2015, with dramatic peaks and valleys reflecting the changing market sentiment between these two major cryptocurrencies.

Currently, the ETH/BTC color coded risk ratio sits at 0.247 according to my risk metric, with 1 Bitcoin now equivalent to approximately 40 Ethereum. The historical perspective shows significant ratio movements, from all-time highs in 2017-2018 to the recent lows ($1300+) for Ethereum that we've experienced.

The 30-day performance shows Ethereum gaining 21.6% against Bitcoin, though longer timeframes still show Bitcoin's dominance with Ethereum down 52.4% over the past year. I explore what these patterns might mean for the broader cryptocurrency market cycle and examine the logarithmic regression trendlines that have historically contained Ethereum's USD price movements.

This analysis provides context for understanding the shifting dynamics between the two largest cryptocurrencies, looking beyond short-term price action to identify potential long-term trends in their relationship.
