Step inside the heart of innovation. In this special episode of Obsessive Design, we’re doing things a little differently—pulling back the curtain on a radical collaboration between Arc'teryx and Skip, a team of robotics experts originally formed at Google’s moonshot lab, X.
Together, we set out to answer a bold question: How can we help more people go further in the mountains, regardless of age, injury, or ability?
The result is Mo/Go—an exoskeleton-inspired mobility tool designed to enhance movement, reduce strain, and empower more people to experience the outdoors in ways they thought were no longer possible. Whether it’s recovering from surgery, aging gracefully, or simply needing a little help on the trail, Mo/Go is a glimpse into the future of accessible adventure.
Follow the full obsessive design journey, from early-stage prototyping to brutal real-world testing on the steep and technical terrain of the Stawamus Chief. Watch as multidisciplinary teams push the limits of what’s possible—combining machine learning, robotics, and outdoor design into a wearable system that disappears into the user’s natural motion.
Mo/Go is currently in beta as we work toward a fully scalable, user-centered product. To learn more about Skip and to stay in the loop on Mo/Go development, beta testing, and release updates, visit:
