The End of the Reykjanes Peninsula, Garður, Iceland
This view is from the very far northwest corner of the Reykjanes Peninsula at Garður, Iceland, not far from Keflavik. The tide was quite low, so I walked out as far as I felt comfortable to see what I could see. The footing started to get a little tricky the further I got out there because, increasingly, the rocks were covered with a slimy kelp or seaweed of some kind. That is the Garður Old Lighthouse on the point. To the west is nothing but the North Atlantic Ocean until you get to Greenland hundreds of miles away!
