Here are our top 5 reasons:
1. Cost
Disposables: at a minimum cost of $0.30 per diaper.
Total costs of diapers before potty trained is $1,000 to $2,000.
The average baby uses 5,000 to 10,000 diapers before being potty trained.
So you should budget $1,000 to $2,000for disposable diapers.
A stash of cloth diapers cost about $300 to $500 or you can buy used.
2. Environmentally Friendly
It can take 500 years to break down disposable diapers.
Biodegradable disposable diapers end up in landfills which aren't designed for composting.
3. Reusability
Cloth diapers are reusable and can be used for multiple babies or sold as used after you no longer need them.
4. Provides an incentive for early potty training
In 1947, American parents had most children begin, if not completed, potty training before 18 months. (Hopgood, How Eskimos Keep their Babies Warm). The age of potty training used to be 18 months before the invention of disposable diapers and now it’s something closer to 3 years. This is due to heavy marketing by the disposable diaper brands, making it now normal to see older toddlers in diapers.

There are a variety of plain colors and prints to choose from.
