Me paying homage to the Godfathers of Electronic music, the legendary Kraftwerk, who have inspired so many of my favorite artists like Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Vince Clark, Ultravox etc. There probably wouldn't have been techno or electronica if not for Kraftwerk.
I wrote this one just before Kyoto Snow (Part 1 & 2) last year but have only mixed it down two months ago. This is completely the opposite to everything I've done on Youtube so far; apart from a few percussion samples, there isn't even a single acoustic sounding instrument on this track; everything is quantized apart from the synth solo; and the vocals were created with a voice synthesizer fed through a vocoder. This is back to my roots, my first love, electronic music - I was programming music on my synthesizers way before I could even play a decent tune on the piano. ;)
