"RADAR RIDER" - Riggs
The opening sequence to the animated movie Heavy Metal featured one of the lesser known bands, Riggs, preforming "RADAR RIDER". Other bands included Cheap Trick, DEVO, Black Sabbath, Nazareth, Grand Funk Railroad, Stevie Nicks, Donald Fagen, etc. etc.
This sequence, referred to as "Soft Landing" was also dubbed "Grimaldi" by the production crew. The original music was a truncated version of the song that appeared on the soundtrack album. The full length song is used here, and because of the extra length, I added some repeat scenes to pad out the time.
