The video celebrates the art of dance, love and survival in Chelyabinsk, Western Siberia – a former atomic city and birthplace of the first Soviet nuclear bomb. Today the city is one of the most radioactively polluted places on earth. Curiously, it is also home to one of Russia’s most vibrant dance scenes.
The video was created using un-used footage from the documentary ‘Tankograd’ – winner of the Camden International Film Festival (2010) and the Best Feature Length Documentary at Moscow Art Doc Fest (2010).
