A visit at the Härtsfeld Heritage Railway
The Härtsfeld Heritage Railway, popularly known as the Schättere, is a 5.5-kilometer-long museum railroad that connects Neresheim with Lake Härtsfeld. On operating days, 4 pairs of trains run with steam locomotive 12 and historic passenger and freight cars as well as two pairs of trains with the diesel railcar T33.
On August 4, 2024, I hiked along the footpath and cycle path running parallel to the railroad line from Neresheim to Katzenstein on Lake Härtsfeldsee.
