walking into a relic of the past
Here lies the ruins of what's left of the former Governor General's residence. Severely damaged in 2004 by Hurricane Ivan, I've only heard tales as a young boy of the grand parties & soirees that were held here. Today, it still stands tall & majestic, as a reminder to those who may recall those days of old.
I've explored this place a few times before, but I've had the idea for a video more recently, after hearing this particular piece of music used in the video. It sounded rather regal & I thought these Victorian era (if that's what they really are known as) buildings paired well with its sounds.
Filming was easy & smooth, I had already how I wanted to capture certain things, it was a simple matter of executing & the warm, hazy weather helped convey the mood I wanted to capture. I've only known this building as ruins but I as I walked through it's empty halls, my mind imagined how lively this place must have been in it's heyday. I'm sure I would have been the life of the party if a party was held today & I was invited lol
