FPV Reality | GoPro Hero 10 Insanity
When I bought my first drone in January of 2015, I had no idea the path that it was about to lead me down. Summers seeing every corner of British Columbia, flights across the pond to visit Faroe Islands, and sub zero temperatures on top of mountain peaks at 3:00am to name a few.
The experiences and opportunity that drones have brought into my life have been unparalleled. It wasn’t until last year that I realized the potential in FPV cinematography, and saw the same patterns emerging that I did when I first got into drones. At first, it was intimidating, it was almost learning a completely new skill. I was tanking these drones into trees, the ocean, rocks, you name it. Sure, some of the same principals applied, but it took a few months before my fingers really got the feel for it.
The thing about learning a new skill in the field of cinematography, is that it sparks a new love for the craft, and has made me see each location in a new way even if I’ve been there before. Excited to see the journey this leads to.
