Scottie Scheffler Arrested, Returns In Time For 2nd Round
Scottie Scheffler, the #1 golfer in the world was arrested outside the PGA championship today. Scheffler was arrested for 2nd degree assault on an officer, criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding traffic signals from a cop. So what happened? A bus accident caused the entrance to the tournament to be roped off. Scheffler tried to drive around the crash scene using the median. At which point an officer reportedly attached himself to the side of his car. Leading Scheffler to eventually stop and then he was ripped out of the car and placed under arrest, and booked. His lawyer says he was doing exactly what he was instructed to do & that he showed his credentials, and that the cop was in the wrong. The cop has reportedly been hospitalized. Scottie was released without bail and will be playing the rest of the 2nd round today.
