In this lab, you will learn how to configure an email server on Windows Server 2025 using hMailServer, providing email services within the network. We will begin by installing hMailServer and configuring the domains and email accounts corresponding to Active Directory users. To secure communication, we will generate a TLS certificate with Win64 OpenSSL and configure it in hMailServer to allow secure connections. Next, we will add several domain user accounts to test the internal and external email service, ensuring they can send and receive messages securely. Finally, we will configure Thunderbird on a client computer for testing, validating the sending and receiving of emails using the TLS protocol, thus ensuring the confidentiality and authenticity of communications between users and the server. This implementation allows for secure and centralized management of the email service on the network.
