I think the luxury controller market isn't designed for the main stream audience ,
Its a great product at a good price point. but just for debate and fairness lets value it,
So the standard controller £60 rrp
the back buttons (based on the ps4 controller) priced at £30 rrp
Non slip comfort grips £15
Stick Module for DualSense Edge -
carrier case (based around Scufs price) £20
Adaptive adjustable triggers (based on Scufs mark up which dont even include vibration) £50
changeable stick caps £10
ps branded lockable wire £15
In total it should cost £200 but Sony is a business as we all know ,so they are going to try to make a profit which is why it costs what it is priced at.
Im not trying to justify the cost or tell anyone how to spend there money but these are facts that cant be refuted when you break it down, not to mention the gaming advantages you get from playing FPS & FG games which requires additional buttons to play it better.
Using your phone example the edge would be the iphone 14 and the standard controller is the iphone 12 one is far better then the other.
