Westinghouse Electric Company has donated $80,000 to seven Richland One schools in the Lower Richland cluster for the 2026-2027 school year.
A news conference was held at Lower Richland High School May 4, 2026, where Westinghouse announced that Gadsden, Horrell Hill, Hopkins and Webber elementary schools, Hopkins and Southeast middle schools, and Lower Richland have been awarded $10,000 each. Westinghouse also donated $10,000 to Lower Richland’s robotics team, the Electric Hornets.
Since 2023, Westinghouse has donated nearly $200,000 to help fund STEM programs, school supplies and other classroom needs for students in Richland One.
