Bald Eagle in Georgia pine as day ends
This bald eagle sat in a tall pine overlooking the local cormorant population that had been sitting below him in their roosting tree. The roosting tree fell over from the bank edge into the water and gives them easy access to fishing. Cormorants are sometimes prey for bald eagles. The eagle sat above them for nearly two hours as they slowly slipped away by ones and twos. When it started getting windy and dark, it seemed to alert him that it was time to go home, and I believe he took off and flew up along the gas pipeline.
