Chinese Student's Graduation Animation Short Films
This animated short film, “Into The Mortal World”, is a final year project made by 13 students from the School of Visual Art and Design, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, China.
Based on the legend of the stars and the Milky Way, " Falling to the Mortal World" revolves around the theme of "Chinese Mythology" and tells the story about a naughty younger sister and her older brother who is seriously responsible for "grazing the stars". The short animation imaginatively connects weaving cloth with the stars. It not only inherits the myths and legends of Chinese traditional culture, but also has certain innovations.
In the process, students cooperated with each other from screenwriter to production, and were grouped properly to learn from each other’s strong points. They tried to present a brand-new myth story by means of combining 3D digital animation method with excellent art design. Moreover, with the combination of 3D digital animation technology, 2D hand-drawn technology and real-time rendering technology, it is hoped that a commercially valuable IP can be derived from creation.

2020.6.16 广州美术学院动画系官号在哔哩哔哩发布毕业季优秀学生作品合集，其中《落凡尘》引起轰动，并引发大量讨论。该作品由动画系导师钟鼎指导带领13位学生共同创作，由广州咏声动漫提供技术支持，是校企项目落地合作案例。
2021年，获得哔哩哔哩投资，与咏声动漫共同出品，进行电影化制作。已通过电影总局电影制作报备。
目前电影制作中，预计2024-2025上映。
