In Splatoon 3, the Salmon Run mode returns with the addition of a new stage called Bonerattle Arena. This desert-themed map features a skeletal aesthetic and is designed to challenge players with its dynamic environment and strategic layout. Teams of players must work together to fend off waves of Salmonids, collect Golden Eggs, and meet their quotas within the time limit.
Salmon Run can be accessed by fast traveling to Grizzco on the map or by walking to the Grizzco building in Splatsville. Players are randomly assigned weapons and must utilize them effectively to defeat various types of Salmonids, including powerful Boss Salmonids. The mode is now available at any time, unlike in previous Splatoon games where it was time-restricted.
