'The Eagle has Landed' 1976 Extended Cut ReEdit
In 1943, After the daring rescue of Mussolini by German Paratroops, Hitler orders the capture of Winston Churchill. 16 men are chosen led by Kurt Steiner (Michael Caine), disguised as Polish soldiers the men land in England and await Churchills arrival. A classic boys own adventure, directed by John Sturges (The Great Escape) co-starring Donald Sutherland, Robert Duvall, Donald Pleasance and Jenny Agutter. This extended version has 15 minutes of extra footage and has been re-edited, in part. Re-inserting the deleted Hitler scene in the correct place, this gets rid of the glaring continuity error of 'black car-grey car' in the original titles. Delayed the theme tune slightly to play certain notes over certain parts, used music from the soundtrack to mix them together and deleted the music from Canaris arrival, replacing it with car SFX.
