No 10. L's Death - Death Note.
The fact that Death Note actually killed off the brilliant antagonistic hero of the story is shocking enough as is, but it comes after a long, twisting plot featuring several successors to the “Kira” mantle, a stretch where Light loses his memories, and a finale that had Light manipulate a Shinigami into doing the killing for him. It comes at a tense, surprising moment, and though it’s one of many simple heart attacks, losing such a hopeful hero at all strikes a chord.
No 9. Kirito vs Heathcliff - Sword Art Online,
After Kirito accepted the duel challenge of Heathcliff, a lot of players gathered at the 75th Floor's main city, Collinia, in a Colosseum to watch the fight between the two highly-skilled players. Kirito was waiting in his room with Asuna, who was still annoyed that Kirito had accepted to duel the strongest player in the whole game. Kirito then told Asuna that he understood his odds, however he boldly declared that he still did not plan to lose easily.

No 4. The Wizard King vs The leader of the Eye of the Midnight sun - Black clover.
Licht tells Julius that his dream will not come true and attacks. Julius dodges the attack, which Licht quickly get behind Julius. Julius suddenly appear behind Licht, which Licht thinks about how Julius has accelerated his foresight. Licht tries to attack Julius but Julius easily counters it. Julius tells Licht that he has already seen the future, and that Licht can't win against him.
No 3. Itachi vs Sasuke Fight - Naruto Shippuden.
Itachi reached Sasuke, he poked Sasuke's forehead, saying, "I'm sorry, Sasuke. There won't be a next time", a reference to his constant unfulfilled promises to train with Sasuke in their youth. Itachi then died of exhaustion. Zetsu figured that Itachi must have been injured before the battle started, also noting that Itachi was unable to dodge attacks he would normally be able to. Sasuke then smiled and closed his eyes before collapsing himself, as Itachi's Amaterasu continued to burn around them.
No 2. Goku's Sacrifice to defeat cell - Dragon Ball Z
Goku steps in and decides to make the ultimate sacrifice.
After a heart-felt goodbye to his son and his friends, and requesting his son to look after Chi-Chi for him, Goku uses his Instant Transmission technique to transport Cell to King Kai's Planet moments before he explodes. Unable to stop himself, Cell destroys the tiny planet along with Goku, King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory.
No 1. Luffy competes with whitebeard - Onepiece.
Luffy stood up refusing to be told what to do, showing little manners, he competes with Whitebeard even telling the old man that the next pirate king would be him. Everyone was shocked by Luffy's actions towards Whitebeard, but later on, the two of them agreed not to get in each other's way and do it as they please.
