These are the operating modes of an automatic washing machine. Their function is to allow the change of speed or gear, retracting and releasing a series of gears designed for washing and spinning.
If it doesn't change, an unpleasant noise is heard because it's washing while in spin mode, or vice versa.
It may also stop washing or spinning if it has a malfunction.
It can also cause problems with filling or draining water because the control board is affected if it's shorted out.
In Easy washing machines and others that don't have a retractor, if the water level doesn't reach the necessary level, it can cause the same problems mentioned above.
