The Sumangal Buddha Vihar Longpuighat, was caught fired and burnt into aahes on 8th March, 2023 at around 2:00 pm where the Chief Abbott and Founder of this monastery was also burnt down and death. It is a sad moment for everyone that burning of an important monastery as well a lives.
So, We are seeking any kinds of possible help for Construction of a new Buddhist Temple.
A Kind appeal to all,
To keep the legacy of Bhante, we all wanted to install a statue of Bhante. The statue of Bhante
will be about two and a half feet. We are planning to order the statue of Bhante from Thailand.
However, it may be costly, and we have to bear both buying the statue fees and the carrying
charge from Thailand to Longpuighat. In that regard, we formed a committee to raise funds.
The statue will keep in a small building. So that whoever visits the monastery will be able to
see Bhante and reflect the virtuous qualities of U Pandita Mahathera. Therefore, we are kindly
requesting support for this project's expenditure. Please also inform your friends and relatives
locally and abroad to come forward for this noble task.
