The Caregiver Wellbeing Plus (CWEL+) Project
The Caregiver Wellbeing Plus (CWEL+) project evaluates a cash transfer plus a gender-transformative economic livelihood intervention for improving psychological well-being and gender equality among women caregivers of children and adolescents living with HIV (CALHIV) in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The project findings shows that caregivers' (primarily mothers) ability to provide quality care during the COVID-19 pandemic was hampered by poverty, health challenges, stigma, limited access to social services and the fact that many live with HIV."
