Embracing Motherhood: My Journey as a Proud Special Needs Parent ❤️
Being a special needs child’s mother has been the most challenging and rewarding chapter of my life.
It is filled with despair over what my child could have been and yet taking joice in every moment with Maadhav.
Unfortunately, this journey is filled with sadness of constantly being scrutinized. My child and myself are daily judged by people who don’t understand our unique challenges and yet how beautiful this journey is.
In earlier years, I was scared to own my story due to fears that my clients and peers will lose faith in me as a professional.
However, I am surrounded by so much positivity and support that I no longer fear consequences of owning Maadhav and my story.
Infact, I attribute my personal success and fully credit my son for my professional growth.
I am very content person and whoever knows me will say the same. This peace, strength, resilience and happiness I carry to all endeavours of life is because of Maadhav.
I have gained more wisdom from this journey than I could have ever imagined. My son has taught me more than I have ever taught him.
I hope this video gives hope to special needs parents who are starting with this journey and see how we were chosen to do “seva” =service.
