This is the ULTIMATE guide to mixing and mastering your boom bap beats all in one tutorial! In this video I'm showing you how to mix and master your beat so that they hit hard in Ableton Live 11. Learning how to mix and master your beats doesn't need to be a challenge. You just need to understand some of the basics like EQ'ing and Leveling. I recorded this video to show you that it can actually be quite simple to make your beats sound right if you follow my simple tutorial in Ableton Live 11 or any other DAW.
In this tutorial I go over how you can achieve hard knocking boom bap beats so that they sound professional. I also touch on how simple you can keep it without overthinking. Leveling, EQ'ing and turning up the master levels with a soft clipper is all you really need. I think anyone can have dope sounding beats after applying these techniques. Don’t forget that quality sound selection is important to make any of this work in the first place.
Although this tutorial was created in Ableton Live 11 you can use the same methods and ideas in any DAW. Including Maschine, Akai MPC, Logic, Pro Tools, FL Studio and literally any other program you can think of. Hip Hop is Hip Hop no matter how it is created!
