There are over 200,000 craft businesses in East Germany. Many of them will face the question in the coming years: Who will take over the family business when the elders retire?
A pastry shop that has been established in Chemnitz for 80 years – or a country inn in Brandenburg – and even Joachim Wagner's hair salon with a nearly century-old tradition are facing closure... It first aired on May 1, 2015, on MDR.
