Using 3DStreet to Simulate Flooding in SF Mission District
On New Year's Eve 2022, the Mission District in San Francisco experienced a major flood. Using 3DStreet we recreated this scenario by mixing Google 3D tiles with a volume of water with a flat, level surface.
It might not be scientifically accurate but it is a quick way for communities to recreate scenarios to prepare for nature-based treatments to keep people and property safe as sea levels rise and storms increase in intensity.
