Star Trek USS Enterprise - 80s-90s Movie Miniature Effect Done in CG - Final Edit!
Here it goes. It's not perfect, but didn't have much time to keep working on it. The final render, of my attempt to replicate the look of the miniature ST models as in the 80s and 90s movies.
Fixed a few things here and there. Removed the ugly film noise from the previous versions, and added anamorphic lens flares.
Rendered in Lightwave.
Models modified from 3dsmax files.
Render times of 3-5 mins per frame using the standard LW render engine.
Lights: A few DP dome lights for ambient occlusion, and a few spot lights for fill and main sources of illumination.
Stay tuned to the origins of how these ships got into this trouble. There's more to come!
