How to: Fix Asus Maximus VI Hero / Realtek sound problem using Jack for Windows.
About two weeks ago I put together a new PC and noticed a bug with the sound. There was a clear "pop" before and after a sound started playing, which quickly become very annoying. I then discovered I'm not the only one having this issue and there seems to be no real fix for it.
I then found out that when Jack is running in the background the popping sounds were gone.
This video shows you how to set up Jack for Windows and how to set up a task to automatically start Jack when Windows starts.

Finally, after 3 years, there's a working Realtek driver available.
The below description is from a comment by: Mooferoo
Hi guys, i've been using this Jack method since getting my Asus motherboard, but i've just downloaded new Realtek drivers that completely fixed all this for me!
ftp://ftp3.realtek.com.tw/Realtek/GeneralRelease/
username : spcust
password : hwwk758z
and get the 7824_PG445_Win10_Win8.1_Win8_Win7_WHQL.zip driver.
This is the official Realtek ftp site where they seem to update drivers a lot more often without putting them on their actual website.
I'm running windows 7 64bit so i can't vouch for win8 & 10.
