Gondwana Dreaming is a series of 24 connected panels depicting an imaginary journey with my daughter Ruby to a magical place inspired by the natural beauty of Australia, Sri Lanka and Africa. I began drawing it in black ballpoint pen when I was allowed out of the locked ward at the Alfred Hospital in 2006 (for arguing that AIDS was developed and spread to reduce the population in the Third World by the Allies, including Australia and that my father,. Asoka Brian Senewiratne was a supporter of the terrorist group known as the Tamil Tigers). Both assertions were, in fact true, as subsequent events have shown.
I finished painting a photocopy of the original drawings in 2009, when I made this video. The music is from my 2009 album Lunar Grooves. The first track is a new version of Lunar Groove 8 and the second a new improvisation recorded using Pro Tools. I'm calling it Lunar Groove 16.
