TOO FAST APPROACH SPEED! TOGA 💪🏻
This is EK3 A6EVH from DXB arriving into London Heathrow Airport. We heard from our airside source that the pilot reported they had ‘too much Approach speed’, hence the TOGA.
Wiki says: An A380 crosses the landing threshold at a docile 140 knots and touches down, depending on its landing weight, at a speed as slow as 130 knots.
She didn’t look/appear abnormally fast, certainly compared to other 380’s, but I guess that’s the Emirates way 👍🏻 Safety First 🙏🏻
